Overview
This website serves as a tool for the alliance leadership to manage assignments, announcements, and alerts (the “Logbook”) and as a reference for all members regarding ships, officers, and crew recommendations (the “Database”). This site is strictly private and non-commercial.
Login and Registration
New members and alliance partners register themselves via a registration link with an access code provided by the alliance leadership. There are two different codes: one for regular alliance members and one for alliance friends (friendly/allied alliances with read access to the database and bulletin board).
Role Overview
- Administrator – full control over the website.
- Leadership – full access to the logbook, database, and bulletin board.
- Database – Read access to the database and bulletin board; no logbook access.
- Subscriber (regular member) — access to the bulletin board; additional areas can be unlocked as needed.
- Alliance Friend—read-only access to the database and bulletin board, for friendly alliances.

Logbook (Management)
Accessible via the "Alliance Logbook" tile on the home screen. Four categories are available:
- Assignment—A task with status, assignment, and optional due date. Overdue assignments are highlighted in red.
- Information—pure announcements, visible to all members on the bulletin board.
- Alert—an urgent message that automatically sends an email to the assigned person or to all registered users.
- General/Miscellaneous – Free-form entries with optional assignment.
You can search for entries (including archived ones) using the search field; the dropdown menu next to it allows you to filter by category. When creating an entry, multiple images or files can be uploaded as attachments. Only the administrator can archive entries (which remain searchable and can be restored at any time) or move them to the trash (not a permanent deletion).
Assignment and information entries can also be highlighted using the “Mark as Important” checkbox. Affected members will then see a floating, color-coded notification at the bottom of the screen the next time they log in—regardless of which section of the website they are currently viewing. Clicking “Understood” permanently dismisses the notification, while clicking “View” takes you directly to the full entry.
In the upper right corner of the logbook and the bulletin board, you can switch the display language using “DE”/“EN” (pilot phase). New or updated assignment/information entries are automatically translated into English and marked as “Machine-translated”; if no translation is available yet, the German text is displayed.
Information Board
Displays only entries from the “Information” category—visible to every logged-in member, regardless of role.
Database (Ships, Officers, Crews, Fleet Commanders)
Using the search field at the top of the database page, you can search directly for a ship or officer’s name at any time—for crews, the search also includes Captain, bridge, and below-deck officers, making it easy, for example, to find which crews a specific officer is part of. Clicking on a search result immediately displays the details.
For officers, the search also includes ability descriptions (Captain Ability, Officer Ability, Synergies)—this allows you to find officers based on a specific trait rather than their name. For example, a search for “impulse speed” will find all officers whose ability text contains this term (including Hikaru Sulu), even if none of them have “impulse speed” in their name. For fleet commanders, the search also includes their primary focus and the texts of all three skill branches.
Alternatively, under “Category,” choose between Ships, Officers, Crew Recommendations, Fleet Commanders, and “Crews by Opponent.” For ships/officers/crew recommendations/fleet commanders, select the desired entry under “Selection”—details and the featured image will be displayed immediately. For “Crews by Opponent,” a list of opponents appears instead (e.g., Conqueror Borg or V’Ger Fighters, with the subgroups Hurak/Gorn/Silent/Orion/Fighters) — after making a selection, all recommended crews are displayed at a glance, each including important restrictions and warnings. The “Remember Last Search” button ensures that the most recently viewed selection automatically reappears on your next visit (otherwise, the fields start empty).
The in-game command center allows you to assign up to 8 command chairs to fleet commanders (depending on the account’s upgrade level). Currently, there are 9 fleet commanders: Admiral Kirk, Captain Spock, Benjamin Sisko, Khan Noonien Singh, Luther Sloan, Seven of Nine, Gabriel Lorca, Locutus of Borg, and Kathryn Janeway. Each has a skill tree with 3 branches; the database maintains a brief profile for each commander, including their primary area of expertise, branch names, and top abilities for each branch.
Users with the appropriate permissions (currently: administrator accounts for ships, officers, and fleet commanders, as well as the “Crew Curator” role for crew recommendations) will see additional buttons on the database page: '+ Create New Ship', '+ Create New Officer', '+ Create New Crew Recommendation', or '+ Create New Fleet Commander,' as well as 'Edit' and 'Delete' for each entry (moves to the WordPress trash; not a permanent deletion). Each entry also displays a “Verified” label (e.g., “Verified by NAME (Date)” or “Unverified”), which authorized users can toggle via a button.
For ships, officers, crew recommendations, and fleet commanders, a filter bar is also available to help you find specific entries that still need to be revised: ''Unreviewed Only', 'No Description Only' (blank or 'unknown'), and a range of initial letters (e.g., A–D). All filters can be combined, which is useful for dividing the editing work among a team. “Reset Filters” restores the normal single-entry view.
My Crews
Using the “My Crews” tile on the home screen, every logged-in member can save their own ship and officer combinations—which is handy when the presets in the game itself don’t allow for enough combinations. For each of your own crews, you can enter a name, recommended ship, captain, bridge officers, below-deck officers, and a custom description.
Under “Who can see this crew?”, you can specify who gets to see your custom crew: "Only me (private)" (default), "The entire alliance," or "Only selected members"—in which case you check the desired members individually. Shared crews appear in the recipients’ “Crews Shared with Me” list, including the author’s name; anyone not selected will not see them. You can change your selection at any time via “Edit.” You can edit your own entries at any time via “Edit” or remove them via “Delete”; shared crews created by other members can only be modified by their creator or the administration.
File Storage
Via the "File Storage" tile on the home page (visible to subscribers, leadership, and the administrator), all members have access to a shared file area where spreadsheets, documents, and images can be stored for the entire alliance—a flat, searchable list without a folder structure.
Any member can upload files (the currently allowed maximum file size is displayed directly on the “File Storage” page) and add an optional description; search for files by filename, description, or uploader using the search field; and download their own files as well as those uploaded by others. Only leadership and administrators can delete files—deleted files are not permanently removed but are moved to the WordPress trash.
Contacting Leadership
Any logged-in member can send a direct message to the Alliance leadership via the “Contact” tile on the homepage.
